How to Hard Cook Eggs
Hard-cooked eggs (aka. hard-boiled eggs) are not only full of healthy vitamins and nutrients, but are delicious, as well. On their own they're portable and make great protein packed snacks. These simple-to-make eggs can be used in many ways, whether it be to make deviled eggs or dress up a salad or sandwich. This post walks you through the steps of making perfect hard-cooked eggs. Instructions: Cover with cold water until water reaches 1 inch above the top of the eggs. Add a sprinkle of salt to the water. Cover pot and turn heat to high. When the water boils, turn off the stove. Let eggs sit in hot water for 12-15 minutes. While the eggs are sitting in the hot water, prepare a bath of ice water.
