Chocolate-Covered Everything!!!
Valentine's Day is on it's way! Chocolate is definitely a wonderful way to show someone you love them (or show a little love to yourself!). Everything is better dipped in chocolate!
Ingredients:
- chocolate chips
- coconut oil
- pretzels, marshmallows, strawberries, frozen bananas, orange slices, rice marshmallow treats, etc. for dipping.
Instructions:
- Put a few inches of water in the bottom of a double boiler.
- Heat the water to boiling over medium heat. When it begins to boil, reduce heat to a simmer.
- Place the chocolate chips in the top of the double boiler.
- Stir carefully. Be sure that the water from below does not splash into the chocolate.
- When melted pour into desired mold and allow to cool fully before removing from the mold.
- Or, add a little bit of coconut oil (a tablespoon or two) to thin for dipping.
- Drop desired items into melted chocolate mixture and swirl around until fully covered. Lift out with two forks and place on a parchment paper covered tray.
- Enjoy!
- Do not use melting chocolate, because it already has wax and oils added to it.
- If you do not have a double boiler, make your own by placing a heat-proof glass bowl onto a saucepan.
- Boiling water in melted chocolate causes the chocolate to seize, making it impossible to work with.
- Be creative with your dipping foods!!!
